ABOUT US - Joe Mannino’s parents immigrated from Sicily, Italy to Flemington, New Jersey in 1980. It was in New Jersey that Joe’s father learned the art of pizza along with his brothers.
At a young age Joe could be found in the family pizza shops folding boxes and learning the business.
Joe worked in many different pizza shops, in New Jersey and North Carolina. Finally in 2017 Joe and Angela Mannino decided it was time to venture into their own pizza shop. This was when we purchased Sami’s Pizza in Selma, NC. Here Joe expanded his personal recipes and began building his own customer base.
In 2019 we took a leap of faith to open our second store in Downtown Smithfield, NC. This is where Sami’s Pizza & Pasta was born. We have now been able to share our passion of Italian food with more customers, and enjoy doing so daily.

Our dishes are all based off of Joe’s recipes. Freshly made pizza - We offer the highest quality and freshness in all of our ingredients. We prepare our own pizza dough, pizza sauce and more.
Locally owned & operated pizzeria. Serving appetizers, salads, pizza, pasta, subs and more. We proudly serve the freshest ingredients including homemade marinara & pizza sauce, scratch made pizza crust, homemade bread for subs, and fresh roasted vegetables for subs & pizza toppings.
